Acceptable Use Policy
IT Support & Managed Services
This Acceptable Use Policy applies to all services provided by GNL Solutions, including remote support, ad-hoc IT assistance, and GNL Protect subscription services.
By using our services, you agree to comply with this policy.
1. Purpose
This policy sets out the standards of behaviour expected when using GNL Solutions services.
It is designed to protect clients, systems and networks, data security, and the integrity of our services.
2. Lawful Use Only
You must not use GNL Solutions services for any activity that is unlawful, harmful, abusive, or fraudulent.
This includes, but is not limited to:
- Accessing or distributing illegal content
- Attempting to gain unauthorised access to systems or networks
- Conducting hacking, scanning, or probing activities
- Circumventing security controls
- Engaging in fraud or identity misuse
3. Security & System Integrity
You must not:
- Intentionally introduce malware, viruses, ransomware, or other harmful code
- Interfere with system performance or stability
- Attempt to disrupt networks or services
- Use services in a way that creates unnecessary security risks
If a system is compromised, you must cooperate with reasonable steps required to secure and remediate it.
4. Respectful Conduct
We expect respectful communication and behaviour.
Abusive, threatening, discriminatory, or inappropriate conduct toward GNL Solutions will not be tolerated and may result in suspension or termination of services.
5. Misuse of Remote Support
Remote support tools are provided solely for legitimate technical assistance.
You must not:
- Attempt to use remote access software for unauthorised purposes
- Share access credentials without permission
- Allow third parties to misuse installed management software
6. Consequences of Breach
If prohibited use is identified, GNL Solutions may, at its discretion:
- Suspend or terminate services
- Restrict or remove system access
- Refuse further support
- Recover reasonable costs incurred due to misuse
- Report unlawful activity to relevant authorities
Service suspension does not remove payment obligations for services already provided.
7. Relationship to Other Policies
This Acceptable Use Policy should be read alongside:

- The GNL Solutions Privacy Notice
Both documents are available in the website footer.
Where a client has signed a GNL Protect Service Agreement, that agreement also applies.
8. Updates
This policy may be updated from time to time. Continued use of services after updates take effect indicates acceptance of the revised policy. The latest version will always be available at:
